im new to the game.
running ubuntu, and i heard that regnum was supporting linux systems,
so i thought i'd give it a try.

any tips for a newb starter?

Best is to follow the quests, then you'll get to lvl 30-40 in no time.
All classes are fine and pretty fast to train, only knights can be very hard.

yeah, that's my tactic with most mmorpgs, but i have not a clue in which realm to play. still downloading, and i'm eager to start playing.

oh, and does anybody know why my profile completion keeps saying 75% (access forums)?

its beacause you didnt buy prenium items / reach max level yet ..... you dont need 100%

Runs fine on linux, weapon trails in graphic options causes crashes for a lot of folks and the game is taking a lot to run atm so might need to turn stuff down. Generally its stable but the last update has had some issues, fairly likely it will be fixed soon. Getting the first character to level 10 can take a while but its easy to do in a day after getting used to everything, would be worth trying each realm before choosing one, chat isn't shared between realms so they are quite different.

Just remember: When chosing a realm, don't make the common mistake of a blind decision like chosing Syrtis 'because it's green" or because you like Legolas. Think about it carefully, as you can't change realms later without deleting all of your characters first. Each realm has its advantages and disadvantages.

Syrtis: Very green, bright and colorful landscapes featuring plains and forests, tend to be the "good guys". Known for beimg "barbie" or "disney" esque.
Ignis: Very barren landscapes consisting mostly of desert, tend to the "bad guys". Character and clan names usually reflect, darkness, evil, or an affinity for desert.
Alsius: Somewhere inbetween, the inner realm is covered in ice and the warzone in pine forests. Their alignment lore-wise seems to be neutral.
